After a long week in Santa Monica and a nice visit from Grandma and Grandpa Minotti, the blog page is finally back up and running.

Unfortunately, my long awaited relaxing vacation to the beach did not turn out as expected. The girls caught a nasty flu and had to stay in the first few days. Then, wouldn't you know, sunny California turned cold and overcast! Despite the weather, the girls and I were able to build one magnificent sand castle, this being my most favorite part of the trip. Sydney apparently lost weight being sick because she had trouble keeping her pants up.

Grandma and Grandpa Minotti of course spoiled the girls rotten (as all good grandparents do) with lots of toys and candy. We had fun listening to Christmas music and watching the girls dance. My mostest favorite part was sleeping in while Grandma and Grandpa played with the girls. I didn't mind Michele doing all the cooking, dishes, laundry, etc. or Big D running errands, cleaning up dog poop and washing windows either. It's tough being such a good daughter-in-law.

After two weeks of negligent domestic responsibility, my mind is free, calm and happy. This new found sense rendered myself in making an immediate decision upon a maid service; and I suggest the same to every hard working woman out there.
