Mustang Island

Last weekend we took a much needed vacation to a southeastern island in Texas. I can't remember the last time we all had so much fun. The 8 hour trip down was actually not too bad because Daddy bought the girslies Star Wars IV, V and VI which we watched all the way down and back. We even brought the dogs and stayed in this cozy little cottage not too far from the beach. Lucy was in heaven because we let her on the sofa. The girls were tickled about staying in a "cottage," like the ones in the princess stories. The water was the perfect temperature and we spent most of our time sitting in the shallow tide letting the waves knock us over. My little magpie, Sierra, also spent a lot of time combing the beach for small treasures. Sydney and I took turns constructing birthday cakes made out of sand and singing to each other. We also rented a golf cart and went cruisin' around for awhile, and ate lots of really yummy food. Actually, Saturday night we ate on a deck over the water at this really nice restaurant and got to watch dolphins while we sipped cocktails. It was so perfect. I can't wait to go back.

Did either Sydney or Sierra poop in the backseat?

When we lived in Kingsville we used to go to Padre Island. Nearby Mustang,I think. It was a wonderful place to go in that humid Texas heat. Sounds like you had a great time.
